Malcolm Galloway is a contemporary classical/minimalist composer and the frontman/ multi-instrumentalist of award winning prog rock band Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate.
 
With HOGIA he just released the fantastic album Parallel Lives, but he now also produced his eighth solo classical/minimalist/post-minimalist/electronic/instrumental album.
I love it!
Don’t expect music like he writes for HOGIA, This is someyhing totally different. Repeating themes, on piano, keyboards, electric guitar and in the stunning ‘A Lacquered Ceramic Owl’ and ‘ Ostinato For Electric Guitar and Laptop’ programmed drums.
Stare starts with ‘Under Countless Stars,’ a beautiful piano dominated piece thats takes you on a musical trip for 33 minutes. This guy can play!
Although Malcolm call his music minimalist, it’s also complicated in a amazing way. So much happening, themes, soundscapes, orchestrations, drones. Yes it’s classical, it’s minimalist, but above all it’s beautiful. I’m totally blown away by Stare.

Malcolm Galloway is a genius.
