Kristoffer Gildenlöw and Voyage 35

Kristoffer Gildenlöw and band
An evening in De Pul. Always nice. And it was a packed De Pul.
Support act Kristoffer Gildenlöw had technical issues. But because Kristoffer and his band members are excellent musicians their performance was still fantastic. The thundering drums, massive baselines and superb guitars and keys, plus the great vocals by Kristoffer were highly appreciated by the massive crowd.
Kristoffer played songs from his brilliant, and heavy, album [Humanised] for most of his set. I loved it.

Voyage 35

What to say about Voygage 35?
They play the music of the early Porcupine Tree. Colin Edwin was a long standing member of PT and an amazing bassplayer. His fretless Wal bass sounded fantastic. John Wesley was a touring guitarist and singer of PT and in Voyage 35 he has to take the role of Steven Wilson. He’s very good, but not Steven Wilson. Alessandro Vagnoni equals early drummer Chris Maitland effortless and excellent singer/keyboardist Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (AKA Lef) brings the original synth sounds back.
Can we call Voyage 35 a tribute band?
Yes, but they give the PT music their own interpretation, which is good. The band used the original PT background movies and made this evening a nostalgic event that was absolutely enjoyed by the big crowd.
Excellent musicianship, combined with great interaction with the people attending, made this an evening to remember.
